Plain English, promise
This site is run by two people, not a data company. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Effective August 8, 2026.
What we collect
- Browsing analytics (Meta Pixel). Like most sites, we use a small piece of code from Meta that notes which pages get visited and general actions like completing a form (never the contents of what you type), using cookies and standard device identifiers. We use this to understand what's worth writing more of, and so we can show The Quiet Quarter's content to people on Facebook and Instagram. Meta also processes this data under its own policies.
- What you type into our forms. Newsletter signups and introductions go through Tally (our form provider) and are stored in our account there. We use them for exactly what the form says — sending the newsletter, or replying to you — and nothing else.
- Ordinary server logs. Our host (Netlify) keeps standard technical logs, as all web hosts do.
What we never do
- Sell your information. To anyone, ever.
- Share what you tell us in an introduction beyond the two of us.
- Send you email you didn't ask for.
Your choices
- Cookies: your browser can block or clear them — the site works fine without them.
- Meta's ads: you can adjust what Meta does with your data in your ad preferences.
- The newsletter: every issue has an unsubscribe link that works on the first click.
- Deletion: want a form submission erased? Message us on our Facebook page and it's done.
